This is a wonderful dramatic reading of an Edgar Allan Poe classic. When I think Poe, I think Tell-Tale Heart. The rising tension of the story and the narrator shown through the quickening of the old man’s beating heart. This is played out with the police stillness as the counter-point.

This audio version really highlights the dramatic tension with good music and a narrator speeding up in harmony with the story and the still-beating heart. Reading by Priscilla Parchia.
